Opening Day Loss

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Belmont women's tennis team fell in their season opener to MTSU 6-1 in a match played Friday evening in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

The Blue Raiders won two of three doubles matches and then captured five of the six singles matches to clinch the 6-1 victory over the Bruins.  Belmont did pick up a victory at #6 singles as Ann Lauren Fiepke won in a forfeit.

The women's tennis team (0-1) is back on the court on Saturday, January 23^rd as they play at Tennessee.  The match is set for 3:00pm CT in Knoxville.
