BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - - Belmont University men's golf placed tenth at the 2016 WKU Kenny Perry Invitational Tuesday.
The Bruins simply could not string together enough birdies to mount a final round charge as The Club at Olde Stone track proved formidable.
Junior Noah Trenkler (Hendersonville, Tenn.) followed up his second round 72 with a final round three-over par 75 to place T-27 at 225 (+9).
Sophomore Daniel Booker (Dyersburg, Tenn.) placed T-37 after carding a 77.
Eastern Kentucky claimed the team title at four-under par 860, while Billy Tom Sargent of host Western Kentucky took home medalist honors at eight-under par 208.
Belmont returns to competition Oct. 17-18 in the APSU Intercollegiate.
