DICKSON, Tenn. – Sophomore Parker Buck's second place finish highlighted the Belmont men's golf team's play at this week's F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate held at Greystone Golf Course in Dickson, Tennessee.
In Tuesday's final round, the Bruins struggled to find birdies and posted a team score of 316 to finish the event in eighth place with a 54-hole mark of 912. Missouri State won the team title with a score of 877. Mercer placed second at 882, while UT-Martin was third at 884.
Belmont was led by sophomore Parker Buck, who posted his best finish as a collegian. The New Braunfels, Texas native carded a 74 in Tuesday's final round, to finish in a tie for second place at 216. He was three shots behind medalist Hunter Richardson of UT-Martin 9213).
Two other Bruins finished among the top-30. Redshirt freshman Win Temple and freshman Nate Thomson each finished in a tie for 24th place at 226. It was the best collegiate finish for both players.
Other Belmont scores included: junior Logan Matthews (T-31, 227), junior Noah Trenkler (T-35, 230), sophomore Daniel Booker (T-39, 231), and freshman McCullough Pickens (T-52, 238).
The men's golf team wraps up their fall season next Monday-Tuesday, October 24-25, at the Pinetree Intercollegiate in Kennesaw, Georgia.
