BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Belmont men's tennis team fell to Samford 6-1 in a non-conference match played Friday afternoon at the Samford Tennis Complex in Birmingham.
The Bulldogs took the early 1-0 lead as they swept all three doubles matches. They clinched the match victory as they captured five of the six singles matches. The lone Belmont win came at number four singles as Zak Khan defeated Leonard Gerch 7-6, 2-6, and 1-0.
The men's tennis team will be back in action next Friday, March 18 as they open OVC play by hosting Jacksonville State at 2:00pm at Centennial Sportsplex.
