LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Belmont men's tennis team fell to Louisville 6-1 in a non-conference match held Friday morning in Louisville, Kentucky. It marked the regular season finale for the Bruins.
The Cardinals earned the first point of the match as they won at positions one and two. The match at number three was unfinished since the doubles point was determined.
In singles, Louisville posted wins at five of six positions to clinch the victory over Belmont. BU did earn a win at number four as freshman Adam Rudowski defeated Brandon Lancaster 6-2, 7-5.
The men's tennis team (9-10, 5-4) will now have to wait to find out if they have qualified for next week's OVC Tournament. The OVC will announce the tournament field and schedule Saturday evening. Please check BelmontBruins.com or @BelmontTennis on Twitter for updates.
