BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Belmont men's tennis team fell to UAB 6-1 in a match played indoors on Friday in Birmingham, Alabama.

The homestanding Blazers won the first point of the match as they posted wins in two of three doubles matches.  The lone Belmont victory came at number one as senior Cedric Dujacquier and freshman Hendrik Inno defeated Eric Komati and Christian Coetzee in a tiebreak 7-6 (6-0).

In singles, UAB earned wins at five of the six matches to clinch the 6-1 victory over Belmont.  The lone singles win for the Bruins came at the number three position as Inno beat Stefan Gonzalez in three sets 6-3, 3-6, and 6-0. 

The men's tennis team (5-5) returns to the court tomorrow (Saturday) at 11:00am when they play at Samford.
