SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont men's golf team stands in sixth place after round one of the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate held Sunday at Sevierville Golf Club in Sevierville, Tennessee.
The Bruins carded a first round score of 301 on Sunday to finish the day in sixth place. Carson-Newman has the team lead at 287, while Lincoln Memorial is second at 293.
Belmont has two golfers among the top-20 after 18 holes. Redshirt freshman Win Temple is tied for fourth place after carding an even par 72. He is four shots behind individual leader, Dalton Reese of Carson-Newman. In addition, sophomore Daniel Booker is tied for 17th place after shooting a three-over 75.
Other Belmont scores from round one included: freshman McCullough Pickens (T-26, 76), redshirt junior Logan Matthews (T-37, 78), and freshman Nate Thomson (T-44, 80).
Sophomore Parker Buck is competing as an individual and is tied for 17th place at 75.
The second round will begin Tuesday with a 12:00 noon ET shotgun start.
