FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The Belmont men's golf team stands in 13th place after round one of the Mason Rudolph Championship held Friday at the South Course of the Vanderbilt Legends Club.
Belmont posted a team score of 299 in round one to finish the day in 13th place. #6 Florida has the team lead at 276, while #3 Vanderbilt is second at 277.
The Bruins are led by freshman McCullough Pickens. The Sea Island, Georgia native carded a one under par 70 to finish the round in a tie for 17th place. He is four shots behind individual leader, Theo Humphrey of Vanderbilt (66).
Other Belmont scores from the first round included: freshman Nate Thomson (T-55, 75), redshirt junior Logan Matthews and sophomore Parker Buck (T-63, 77), and sophomore Daniel Booker (69th, 78).
The second round begins Saturday morning at 8:30am. The Belmont golfers will go off from the 10th hole from 9:35-10:15am.
