NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont men's golf team finished in a tie for seventh place at the Ryman Hospitality Intercollegiate held this week at Nashville's Richland Country Club.
In Tuesday's final round, Belmont carded a team score of 299 to finish the event in a tie in seventh place with Abilene Christian at 909. Host Lipscomb won the team title with a mark of 859, Ole Miss was second at 862.
Two Bruins finished among the top-30. Freshman Nate Thomson posted a three-under 68 on Tuesday to finish tied for 14th place at 222. It was his fourth top-20 finish of the season and his 68 is tied for the low round on the team this year.
Sophomore Daniel Booker tied for 28th place at 229 after shooting a 79 in the final round.
Other Belmont scores from the tournament included: redshirt junior Logan Matthews (T-32, 230), redshirt freshman Win Temple (T-51, 235), and freshman McCullough Pickens (72nd, 246).
Sophomore Parker Buck competed as an individual and tied for 73rd place with a score of 247.
The men's golf team has two weeks off before hitting the course for the OVC Championship, April 24-26, at the RTJ Golf Trail at The Shoals in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
