Aiming for the Top

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Belmont Volleyball has a busy week ahead on the floor.  First up, the Bruins (0-4) travel to Western Kentucky (1-2) for a duel on Tuesday evening.

The Toppers enter this early week matchup after snapping a two-match skid to start the season.  WKU stands at 1-2 in the young season and is led in kills by Rachel Anderson, who has total of 45.  Taylor Bebout leads in assists with a total of 113 while Emma Kowalkowski and Payton Frederick share duties with digs at 43 and 41, respectively.

BU hits the road for the first time this week after falling in its home opener to Iowa.  Senior Maggie Mullins (Nashville, Tenn.) leads the Bruins in kills with a total of 36 while sophomore Halee Van Poppel (Argyle, Texas), who was named to the Tennessee Classic All-Tournament Team, has contributed 23 so far.  Freshman Carly Mason (Forsyth, Ill.) leads in assists with a total of 84.  Van Poppel and Mason share defensive work with 26 and 25 digs, respectively.
