NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont men's golf team wraps up their 2019 fall season this Monday and Tuesday at the Pinetree Intercollegiate at the Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw, Georgia.
The Bruins enter this week's event with some momentum after finishing third at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate. Standing fifth after two rounds, BU posted a six-under par 282 in the final round to move up two spots and finish in third behind UT-Martin and host Austin Peay. Three Belmont golfers finished among the top-12, led by junior Jack Uselton's fourth place showing.
Belmont is being led by a pair of juniors. Evan Davis leads the team in scoring with 70.4 average. The Lexington, Kentucky native has two top-10 finishes in four events this fall. Uselton is second in scoring and has two top-20 finishes, including his fourth place finish last week. Both players rank among the top-10 in the conference in scoring.
This week's Pinetree Intercollegiate, hosted by Kennesaw State, is a two-day, 54-hole event with 36 holes contested on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. It will be played at Pinetree Country Club, which will play to a par 72 and a length of 7,108 yards.
The field features 11 teams and includes the likes of host Kennesaw State, Mercer, Western Kentucky, along with four OVC teams: Austin Peay, Belmont, Jacksonville State, and Tennessee Tech.
