NASHVILLE, Tenn.– The Belmont women's tennis team lost, 7-0, against East Tennessee State Friday night.
The Bruins lost the doubles point to the Bucs falling at No. 1 and No. 2 play. At one, the duo of Peyton Lee and Drew Hawkins lost 1-6 against Laylo Bakhodirova and Alejandra Morales, at position two, the team of Erin Allen and Lauren Carelli were defeated, 1-6, by Raquel Amaro and Yi Chi Ma. After a long battle on the court, the No. 3 team of Terra Sheldon and Maria Plaksina defeated Andrea Pascual-Larrinaga and Yunuen Elizarraras 7-5.
In singles play, the Bruins fell in all six matches on the court.
The women's tennis team is back in action Saturday night as they face Western Kentucky at 6 p.m. CT.
