PINEHURST, N.C. – The Belmont men's golf team remains in seventh place after two rounds of the Pinehurst Intercollegiate held this weekend at the Pinehurst Course #8 in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
On a better weather day than Friday's first round, the Bruins shot a team score of 306 to finish day two tied for seventh place with Marshall at 615. Elon remained the team leader at 585, while Davidson is in second place at 601.
Two Belmont golfers are among the top-20 after 36 holes. Junior Evan Davis shot a three-over par 74 to move up to a tie for 10th place at 150. He is nine shots behind the individual leader, Graham Hutchinson of Elon (141). Fellow junior Bogle LaRue shot a team low round of the day, a 73, to finish in a tie for 14th place at 152.
Other Belmont scores after 36 holes include: freshman Alex Whitehead (T-25, 154), freshman Luke Whitney (T-49, 159), and junior Jack Uselton (T-57, 161).
Redshirt freshman Jack Bergstrom, competing as an individual, is tied for 33rd at 155.
