CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- A tough afternoon ended Belmont University volleyball's weekend in Cape Girardeau, Mo., with the Bruins losing, 3-0, to red-hot Southeast Missouri State on Saturday.
Belmont (4-11, 2-3 OVC) fell 10-25, 9-25, and 6-25 to SEMO (12-5, 3-2 OVC) in the programs' final regular season meeting of the year.
The Bruins were never able to fully get in rhythm, hitting a season-low -.124 with 23 attack errors. SEMO capitalized on momentum picked up in Friday's win, hitting .430 on the day.

The Redhawks' Laney Malloy finished with one of the more remarkable stat lines in the OVC this season, getting 15 kills on just 20 total attacks, good for a .700 attack percentage.
Belmont will continue their OVC road trip with a pair of contests against Southern Illinois University Edwardsville next weekend. The Bruins will match up with the Cougars in Edwardsville, Ill., on Friday, Oct. 8, at 6 p.m. before wrapping up the series with a contest on Saturday, Oct. 9, at 2 p.m. Both games will be streamed on ESPN+.
