MOREHEAD, Ky. -- Belmont University volleyball heads to the Bluegrass State this weekend for a pair of matches with OVC-leading Morehead State.  

First serve on Friday, Nov. 5, is scheduled for 5 p.m. CT, while first serve on Saturday, Nov. 6, is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT.  

Both matches will be streamed live on ESPN+, and live stats will be available on BelmontBruins.com and on the official app of Belmont Athletics. 

What's Bruin 

• Belmont earned a weekend split with Murray State their last time out, losing 3-0 last Friday at the Curb Event Center before turning around and defeating the Racers, 3-1, on Saturday 

• Junior right side Laura Shoopman tallied a game-high 17 kills in the win over Murray State, the fourth time the Salem, Wisc., native has recorded at least 17 kills in a match this season 

• Shoopman has hit above .300 in five of her last six matches, collecting 66 kills over those five contests 

• Sophomore libero Rachel McBride has recorded double-digit digs in 20 of her 23 matches this season, and is currently sixth in the OVC in digs per set (4.12) 

• Senior outside hitter Taylor Floyd currently ranks 10th in the OVC for kills per set (2.87) 

• After recording 12 total team blocks in Saturday's win, Belmont is now fifth in the OVC for blocks per set (2.04) 

• The 12 blocks were the second-most for the Bruins this season, behind only a 13-block performance on Sept. 10 against Chicago State 

• Kailee Bass recorded six block assists, Sydney Willis had one solo block and four block assists, and Laura Shoopman finished with one solo block and three block assists to highlight the 12-block outing 

• Senior defensive specialist Peyton Kelley is fourth in the OVC for service aces during conference play, averaging 0.38 per set 

About the Eagles 

• Since starting conference play 0-2 with a pair of losses to Austin Peay, Morehead State has won their last 12 matches, and currently has a one-game lead on Southeast Missouri for first place in the OVC 

• The Eagles are holding opponents to a .139 attack percentage in conference play, the lowest mark in the OVC 

• Morehead State has not lost at home since Sept. 18, when they fell to No. 4 Pittsburgh, 3-0, to conclude the Comfort Inn-Vitational 

• Olivia Lohmeier is the defending OVC Player of the Year, and is currently third in the OVC in kills (4.04 per set) 

• Bridget Bessler was named to the All-OVC First Team last season is currently second in the conference in assists (10.52 per set)

• Friday's matchup will the the 22nd all-time meeting between Morehead State and Belmont
