NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Belmont University Volleyball continues conference play Sunday and Monday at Eastern Kentucky.
The Bruins (0-6) dropped a pair of four-set decisions to UT Martin Wednesday.
Freshman Kristen Clemons (Louisville, Ky.) recorded 28 kills in the two matches. The middle blocker leads Belmont in kills (53) and hitting percentage (.303).
Fellow freshman Rachel McBride (Decatur, Ind.) has posted double-figure digs in four matches, including a season-high 21 vs. Southeast Missouri Feb. 21. McBride ranks ninth in the OVC in digs per set (3.90).
Meanwhile, sophomore Laura Shoopman (Salem, Wis.) has already made an instant impact. The Oral Roberts transfer had a double-double of 17 kills and 10 digs vs. Southeast Missouri Feb. 22.
Eastern Kentucky is led by junior Lindsey Wilkins, who leads the team in kills (72) and hitting percentage (.215).
