NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Belmont University Volleyball enters its second season under head coach Katelyn Harrison this weekend.  The Bruins will immediately dive into Ohio Valley Conference play, hosting SIUE for a pair of matches in the Curb Event Center.

SIUE?concluded the 2019 season with a 14-15 overall record and 9-7 mark in conference play. The Cougars' top returner for this year are Rachel McDonald, who led the team in kills with a total of 316. Sarah Armendariz returns as the team's leader in assists after collecting 286 while Jordyn Klein is back as the leader in digs after tallying 502.

SIUE leads the all-time series, 7-2. The Cougars have won the last five matchups between the programs.

 

Belmont return to the floor of the Curb Event Center looking to add more wins for Coach Harrison. The Bruins will look to returning offensive leaders seniors Halee Van Poppel (Argyle, Texas), who led the team in kills (341) and digs (264), and Mary Catherine Ball (Hendersonville, N.C.), who was second in both kills (272) and solo blocks (4), to help lead the charge on opening weekend.
