NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Belmont University men's tennis team defeated Carson-Newman 4-0 on Saturday night at Hadley Park, extending their winning streak to five matches.
Senior Marko Ilic picked up his fourth singles win of the season, needing just one more victory to move into a tie for ninth in program history with Willy Sandoval (1998-2002). Arthur Toledo and Tomas Luis also picked up singles wins on Saturday to help Belmont to a team victory.
In the doubles portion, Ilic/Taisei Miyamoto dominated their doubles match 6-0 while Diego Castro/Tomas Luis won their doubles match 6-2.
Belmont (5-1) takes on Lipscomb on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
