NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Belmont women's tennis dropped to the Southeast Missouri Redhawks, 7-0, Saturday afternoon at Hadley Park.
To open the day, the Bruins (4-6) fell in the No. 2 and No. 3 positions, as the Redhawks (9-4) notched the doubles point early on. The duo of senior Erin Allen and junior Peyton Lee were knotted up at 4-4 at the top spot before Southeast Missouri secured the point.
In singles competition, Belmont fell in a pair of tough three-set matches at positions three and five. Meanwhile, the Redhawks finished out with straight-set victories in the remaining singles matches on the afternoon.
UP NEXT: The Bruins return to action next weekend for a pair of road contests at Eastern Illinois and SIU Edwardsville.
