Tennessee Tech leads the all-time series with Belmont 46-32, winning two of the previous three games against the Bruins.
Tennessee Tech is currently 12-17 on the season with a 6-9 record in Ohio Valley Conference play. The Golden Eagles are hitting .259 as a team, smashing 30 home runs to go with 140 RBIs. Tennessee Tech's pitching staff holds an earned run average of 5.67 to go with 236 strikeouts.

Junior Logan Jarvis has already placed himself in the Belmont Baseball record book. Hitting four triples in the 2021 season, he is now tied for 10th in the program's NCAA Era Single Season record book in that category. He needs just one more to move in a tie for fifth, which includes current Los Angeles Dodgers player and Belmont alum Matt Beaty. Jarvis is currently tied for third in triples in NCAA Division I Baseball.
Jarvis was named Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. With the weekly honor, the Bruins have now had at least one player recognized for OVC Player of the Week in three of the last four seasons. Jarvis held a .500 batting average in last week's games to go with 10 RBIs, hitting a double, a triple and a home run in the process. The Franklin, Tenn., native recorded a career-high six RBIs in last Tuesday's game at North Alabama, marking the second consecutive season where he has driven in five or more RBIs in a game.
Game Notes
Freshman Jack Rando has been the definition of a team player for Belmont this season, executing the art of the sacrifice bunt. Rando is currently eighth in all of NCAA Division I Baseball with six sacrifice bunts, leading the Ohio Valley Conference in that category in the process.
Sophomore Carson Shacklett and Jarvis have helped the Bruins this season by getting on base, especially drawing walks. Jarvis is seventh in NCAA Division I Baseball in that category while Shacklett is currently 12th, being ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the OVC. Jarvis is nine walks away from moving in the top 10 in the single season program record book while Shacklett is 10 walks away from that feat.
Belmont has proven that they are never out of an inning when they are down to their last out. Over 28 percent of Belmont's runs scored this season have been with two outs, with the Bruins scoring 56 total runs in 2021 when they are down to their last out. Jack Capobianco, Jarvis and John Behrends have all driven in double-digit runs this season with two outs on the board. The Bruins have also hit four home runs with two outs this season.
