NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - The Belmont University women's tennis team worked fluidly en route to a 6-1 victory over the Lee Flames.
"Another good showing from our women," head coach
Mauricio Antun said. "Even though we didn't play our best tennis in some spots, we still came out with a solid win against a good team."
With one point clinched, Belmont got five more two-set sweeps courtesy of
Somer Henry, Abby Solomon, Kliimand, Roberts and
Peyton Lee.
Out of their 12 singles' matches this weekend, Belmont won in two sets eight times. Meanwhile, freshman
Abi Solomon has moved to 6-0 in her singles' rounds this season.
The win wraps up the Bruins' 2-0 start to the spring. They will return to action next Saturday at Hadley Park when they face Tarleton State at three p.m.
