NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont University men's tennis program begins its 2023 spring championship season Sunday afternoon indoors at the Ensworth Tennis Center as the Bruins welcome in-state NCAA Division II member Lee University to the Music City. First serve is slated for 3 p.m.

Live scoring of the dual match can be found on

Â
Picked to win the newly restructured Horizon League in the recent preseason poll, the Bruins look to build upon last year's success. Winning its fourth Ohio Valley Conference regular season championship, Belmont went 14-5 last spring and posted an unblemished 4-0 conference record. The Bruins ended the season ranked eighth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Ohio Valley Region, their highest-ever regional ranking.
Â
Without ever playing a match in the league, Belmont received seven first-place votes in the Horizon League's predicted order of finish as voted upon by the conference's head coaches.
Â
The Bruins return six total letter winners, including 2021 OVC Player of the Year
Marko Ilic and junior
Alfred Wallin, who ended his sophomore campaign ranked 18th in the ITA Ohio Valley Region.
Â
Four of Belmont's first five matches of the season will be played at home at the Ensworth Tennis Center. The Bruins begin Horizon League play on Saturday, March 25 at Southern Indiana.
