KENNESAW, Ga. – The Belmont men's golf teams is tied for third place after day one of the Pinetree Intercollegiate held Monday at Pinetree Country club in Kennesaw, Georgia.
The Bruins carded rounds of 295 and 293 to finish the day in a tie for third place with UT-Martin at 588. Host Kennesaw State has the team lead at 562, with Augusta in second place at 569.
Two Belmont golfers are among the top-10 after 36 holes of play. Sophomore
Jack Schoenberger leads BU as he is tied for seventh place at 144. He posted rounds of 69 and 75. He is nine shots behind the individual leader, Shawn Cook of Kennesaw State (135).
Freshman
Jack Darke, competing as an individual, shot rounds of 71 and 74, to finish the day in a tie for 10
th place at 145.
Junior Michael Senn is tied for 22
nd place at 148, while freshman
Grey Goff is one shot back of Senn and in a tie for 27
th place at 145.
Senior
Reeve Felner is five shots back and in a tie for 29
th place at 150, while sophomore
Conner Brown is tied for 36
th place at 152.
The third and final round will begin Tuesday morning at 7:00am CT. The Bruins will tee off from 7:45-8:21am CT. Live scoring of the final round can be found at BelmontBruins.com.
