KENNESAW, Ga. – The Belmont men's golf teams finished in fourth place at the Pinetree Intercollegiate held this week at Pinetree Country club in Kennesaw, Georgia.
The Bruins shot a final round 297 to finish in fourth place with a three round score of 885. Host Kennesaw State won the event with a mark of 850, with Augusta in second at 858 and UT-Martin in third at 881.
Three Belmont golfers finished among the top-20 at this week's event. Sophomore
Jack Schoenberger posted his fourth top-10 finish of the fall season as he placed in a tie for sixth place at 216. He finished 11 shots back of the individual medalist, Shaun Cook of Kennesaw State. The Georgia native carded a final round 72.
Fellow Georgian and freshman
Jack Darke had his best finish as a Bruin as he tied for eighth place at 217. Like Schoenberger, he also shot a final round 72.
Fellow freshman
Grey Goff carded a 74 on Tuesday to tie for 20
th place at 223. It was his first career top-20 finish as a Bruin.
Junior Michael Senn and senior
Reeve Felner tied for 24
th place at 225. Senn shot a 77 on Tuesday, while Felner posted a 75.
Sophomore
Conner Brown tied for 35
th place with a score of 228.
This tournament wraps up the fall season for the Bruins. In five events, they had four top-five finishes, including two team championships. They will kick off their 2024 spring season on February 19-20 at the World Golf Village Intercollegiate in St. Augustine, Florida.
