Marko Ilic and Trione also moved to 4-0 on the year at the top doubles spot.

Last February, the Bruins were defeated 4-1 by the Bulldogs in Asheville, North Carolina. Belmont took the doubles point via a pair of 6-4 wins at the top two doubles spots, but dropped the top four singles matches.

UNC Asheville entered the weekend 2-0 with two NCAA Division II victories over Emmanuel College (6-1) and Tusculum (7-0). On Friday evening, the Bulldogs fell 5-2 at Chattanooga and UNC Asheville takes on Lipscomb Saturday evening at the Richland Country Club in Nashville.

After playing four of their first five matches at the Ensworth Tennis Center, the Bruins begin a challenging four-match road stretch next Sunday afternoon at Southeastern Conference stalwart Vanderbilt.
