Belmont boasts the 42nd-ranked doubles team in the nation as freshman
Mariia Hlahola and sophomore
Anastasiya Zholdakova earned the program's first-ever doubles ranking earlier this week. The duo knocked off the then ninth-ranked doubles pair in the country last Sunday at top-10 Auburn, defeating the Tigers' Ariana Arseneault and Carolyn Ansari 6-4. Hlahola and Zholdakova's upset at the top spot clinched the doubles point for the Bruins against the Southeastern Conference hosts.
Â
Kyiv, Ukraine, native Hlahola earned Missouri Valley Conference Singles Player of the Week honors this past week after her stellar weekend in Auburn, Alabama. Last Saturday, she earned a three-set win over the University of Alabama at Birmingham's Maggie White before pushing Auburn's nationally-ranked Arseneault to the brink last Sunday.
Â
The Big Ten Conference's Hoosiers enter Sunday 7-3 on the season with a 5-1 record at home. Indiana has won both of its last two matches, including a 4-0 sweep of Western Michigan in Bloomington Saturday morning. The Hoosiers also picked up a 4-2 win at Colorado last Sunday.
