The Bruins claimed the doubles point in short order with victories at first and second in the lineup.

The pair of
Marko Ilic and
Riccardo Trione defeated Daniel Kliebhan and William Karpinski, 6-0, before
Jack Randall and
Alfred Wallin earned a 6-3 win over John Walsh and Alex Wernink.

From there,
Ian Cruz and Wallin showcased a variety of shotmaking to keep momentum going into singles.

Randall closed out Wernink in workmanlike fashion, 6-0, 6-4, at No. 6 singles before
Tomas Luis slammed the door on Sebastian Miano in three sets at fifth singles to put the Bruins on the precipice of a clean sweep.

Moments later, Trione capped a come-from-behind victory over Walsh to close out the match.

It was a special reunion as Belmont associate athletic director Steve Barrick had the opportunity to see his son, and Richmond head coach, Houston.

Belmont (7-4) returns to competition Saturday at No. 18 Mississippi State. First serve is set for 4 p.m.
