Women's Tennis Concludes Fall Tournament Play in Murfreesboro Saturday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Wrapping up fall tournament play, the Belmont University women's tennis team finished its weekend in nearby Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Saturday at the 2024 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Ohio Valley Regional Championships and the Blue Raider Showdown. Seniors Anastasiya Zholdakova and Aly Getty claimed the Bruins' lone win of the day, earning a doubles victory in the consolation bracket at the ITA regional championships.
 
The duo defeated Miami University's Emilia Valentinsson and Maria Luisa Oliveira by the smallest of margins, winning in a tiebreaker, 7-5.
 
Junior Libbie Hamilton and sophomore Hana Sokolovic were also in action Saturday at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional.

Under first-year head coach Ellie Burger, the Bruins will now turn their attention to the spring championship season. Belmont's dual matches will get underway indoors in January.
