DES MOINES, Iowa - - Belmont women's soccer (6-8-2, 3-3-1 MVC) closed out the weekend at Drake (4-6-5, 3-2-1 MVC) on Sunday afternoon. A windy day with gusts of 30 mph kept both teams quiet in the first half. The Bulldogs scored early in the second half and won the match, 1-0.

Drake's Izzy Snowden scored the game-winning goal off a corner kick in the 59
th minute. Madelyn Smith assisted on the goal.

- Kate Virtel placed Belmont's lone shot on goal.
- Sydney Jones made six saves in goal for the Bruins. Jones has made six saves in two of the last three matches. The graduate goalkeeper has recorded four matches with at least six saves.
- Belmont will play two of their remaining three regular season matches at E.S. Rose Park.

The Bruins return to Nashville and host Valparaiso on Oct. 17. Kickoff from E.S. Rose Park is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT. The match will be broadcast on ESPN+.
