EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Belmont women's golf team stands in fifth place after round one of the Braun Intercollegiate held Monday at Oak Meadow Country Club in Evansville, Indiana.
Belmont carded a team score of 314 in Monday's round to finish the day in fifth place.  Indiana State has the team lead at 301, with host Evansville in second at 305.  Purdue Fort Wayne is in third at 307, while Oakland is fourth at 312.
Three Bruins are among the top-20 after 18 holes of play.  Freshman
Sloane Biddle is tied for second place after shooting a two-over par 74.  She is two strokes back of the individual leader, Kate Petrova of host Evansville (72).
Junior
Chloe Tarkany is tied for 16
th place at 78, while senior
Eva Graham is one shot back and in a tie for 19
that 79.
Freshman
Harper Edwards is four strokes back of Graham and in a tie for 44
th at 83, while sophomore
Paige Hammarstrom is 79
th after posting a 94.
Three Bruins are competing as individuals.  Freshman
Ainsley Moore is tied for 40
th at 82.  Fellow freshman
Emilee Swagger is two strokes back and in a tie for 49
th at 84, while freshman
Sophie Skoog is tied for 69
th at 87.
