What's Bruin
  • Belmont outscored Valparaiso and SIU 7-0 last week. Seven different Bruins scored a goal, including first-career goals from Laken Whittington and Olivia Walker on Oct. 20 against SIU.
  • The Bruins' 13 goals in nine conference matches rank fourth in the MVC.
  • Belmont is tied with Missouri State for the fewest goals allowed in conference play with five.
  • Reagan Ross and Ava Labocki lead the team with five goals and are tied for ninth in the MVC. Ross leads the team with three goals in conference play; her sister – Carly Ross – is tied with Eliza Paisley for second with two goals.
  • Anna Samuel is fourth in the MVC with a team-high four assists. Samuel notched two assists on Oct. 20 against SIU.
  • The Bruins have outscored conference opponents 13-5 in nine conference matches.
  • Eliza Paisley was named MVC Defender of the Week for the second time this season. She scored her second career goal in Belmont's 4-0 victory over Valparaiso on Oct. 17. Paisley's goal in the 60th minute was part of a four-goal second half for the Bruins; the most goals scored by Belmont in a half since Oct. 8, 2017. Her efforts assisted Belmont in scoring the most goals in a single match since Oct. 6, 2019.
  • Sydney Jones was named MVC Goalkeeper of the Week for the third time this season. The graduate goalkeeper's six shutouts are tied for the sixth most in a single season in program history; her five conference shutouts lead the MVC. Jones leads all MVC goalkeepers with a .881 save percentage in MVC play and ranks third with 74 saves. The clean week marks the second time Jones has not allowed a goal in a two-match week this season. Jones was previously named MVC Goalkeeper of the Week on Sept. 17 and Sept. 24.
  • Belmont and Missouri State are the only teams in the MVC with five road wins. The Bruins are 2-1-1 away from E.S. Rose Park during their conference slate.
  • Allison Brockelman, Lillie Tabor, Carly Ross and Kate Virtel have started in all 18 matches.
