Women's Tennis Completes Second Day of MVC Individual Championships

CHICAGO – On the second day of play at the 2024 Missouri Valley Conference Individual Championships in Chicago, the Belmont University women's tennis team was unable to get a match win. The Bruins went a combined 0-4 in singles and doubles Saturday at the University of Illinois Chicago's XS Tennis Village.
 
In the semifinals of the top doubles flight, seniors Anastasiya Zholdakova and Aly Getty were topped by Murray State's Yu Kikawa and Yuna Kadowaki 8-5.
 
In the quarterfinals of the top singles flight, Zholdakova was defeated 6-4, 6-3 by Valparaiso's Moira Silva.

The Bruins wrap up play in the Windy City Sunday with Zholdakova and Getty taking on Drake's Laura Koralnik and Jessica Popiol for third place at No. 1 doubles.
