Women's Tennis Hosts Alabama A&M Saturday

Final Non-Conference Match Before MVC Play

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University women's tennis returns to match competition Saturday vs. Alabama A&M.
 
Belmont (6-6) will take part in its final non-conference match before opening Missouri Valley Conference play March 23 vs. Illinois State.
 
The Bruins are led by the decorated duo of Mariia Hlahola and Anastasiya Zholdakova. The pair have combined on four MVC Doubles Team of the Week awards.
 
Newcomer Vesa Gjinaj has a team-high 15 singles victories, holding court in a dominant fashion at second singles.
 
Meanwhile, Alabama A&M (4-8) dropped a 5-2 decision Wednesday at North Alabama.
 
The Bulldogs advanced to the 2023 SWAC tournament semifinals.
 
Alabama A&M was awarded two grants from the United States Tennis Association this past November.
 
First serve is set for 2 p.m. from the Beaman Family Tennis Complex. Live stats will be provided via StatBroadcast.
