SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont men's golf team has the lead after the first round of the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate held Sunday at Sevierville Golf Club in Sevierville, Tennessee. In addition, junior Michael Senn leads the individual standings.
Belmont posted a two-under par 282 on Sunday to take the first round lead by 10 strokes over second place Morehead State (292). Lee University is in third place at 293.
Senn has the individual lead after day one after shooting a three-under par 71. His round included three birdies and 15 pars. He is one shot ahead of Nolan Piazza of Morehead State, who is in second place at 69.
Freshman
Jack Darke and sophomore
Jack Schoenberger are two shots back of Senn and in a tie for third place at 70. Darke had four birdies and three bogeys, while Schoenberger posted five birdies, two bogeys, and one double bogey.
Senior
Reeve Felner is in a tie for 23
rd place at 74, while graduate student
Joe Bultman is tied for 68
th place at 79.
Sophomore
Conner Brown, competing as an individual, is tied for 14
th place after carding a 73.
