SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont men's golf team finished runner-up at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate held Monday at Sevierville Golf Club in Sevierville, Tennessee.
Belmont struggled in Tuesday's final round, posting a score of 305, to finish in second place with a 54-hole mark of 882. They finished two strokes back of the team champion, Lee University (880). Southern Indiana finished in third place at 885.
Four Bruins finished among the top-15. Junior Michael Senn carded a final round 77 to finish in a tie for fourth place at 218. He finished four shots back of the individual champion, Haden Maxwell of Tennessee Tech (214). It was Senn's third top-10 finish of the season.
Sophomore
Conner Brown, competing as an individual, had his best finish as a Bruin as he tied for eighth place at 219. He shot a three-over 73 on Tuesday, which tied for the third lowest score among all competitors.
Fellow sophomore
Jack Schoenberger tied for 13
th place at 220 after shooting a 75 in the final round. It was his eighth top-20 finish of the season.
Freshman
Jack Darke posted his second top-20 finish of the season as he tied for 15
th place at 221.
Senior
Reeve Felner tied for 30
th place at 227, while graduate student
Joe Bultman tied for 46
th place at 233.
The men's golf team is back in action next Monday and Tuesday at the Sweetens Cove Intercollegiate, a match play event held in South Pittsburg, Tennessee.
