Men's Tennis Faces Southern Indiana Saturday

Defending Horizon League Champion Opens Conference Play

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's tennis opens Horizon League play Saturday at Southern Indiana.
 
The Bruins, the reigning Horizon League regular season and tournament champion, have worked through a rigorous non-conference schedule, including its most recent result at nationally-ranked Stetson.
 
Senior Alfred Wallin has 11 singles victories this season and 61 in total for his career, as he approaches Marko Ilic's program record for career singles victories.
 
Tomas Luis and Ian Cruz have also been consistently in the win column, both with double-figure wins at second and third singles.
 
Southern Indiana enters with a record of 1-9, having dropped a 4-3 decision to the University of Missouri-St. Louis March 10.
 
Belmont has reached two of the last three NCAA tournaments.
