Belmont (7-6) completed non-conference play with an impressive 6-1 victory over Alabama A&M March 16.

The Bruins have earned the doubles' point in 10 of 13 matches this spring.

Belmont has won two straight conference openers, including last year's MVC opener over Valparaiso.

Vesa Gjinaj leads Belmont with a team-high 16 singles victories, while Maria Hlahola holds a 14-4 singles record.

Illinois State enters with a 9-5 record. The Redbirds enjoyed a memorable trip to Hawaii last week, playing matches against the University of Hawaii and Pacific. Illinois State was picked second in the MVC preseason poll.

Meanwhile, Bradley has a record of 6-9 following a victory over Southern Indiana. Bozana Lojpur has been the Braves' consistent player at number one singles. Bradley was picked seventh in the MVC preseason poll.

First serve vs. Illinois State is set for 11 a.m. while first serve vs. Bradley is set for 10 a.m. Both matches are scheduled to be played at the Beaman Family Tennis Complex.
