MURRAY, Ky. - - Belmont (14-13, 3-2) and Murray State (18-8, 3-2) faced off again at Johnny Reagan Field Friday evening. The Bruins kept their foot on the gas pedal, and rode starter
Dominic Baratta to the end, as Belmont clinched the series with a 14-2 win.

- Dominic Baratta tossed his first career complete game. He allowed four runs on eight hits, with five strikeouts. He improves to 3-1 on the season.
- Mason Landers went 3-for-4, with two home runs, four RBI, and three runs.
- Sam Slaughter went 2-for-4 with an RBI
- Pete Daniel set a new career-high with three hits and two doubles. Ge knocked in one run and scored three times.
- Brodey Heaton went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
- Landon Godsey went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
- Blake Barton had an RBI double.
Mason Landers put the Bruins on the board in the first inning with a two-run home run. Landers' ninth home run of the season gave Belmont an early 2-0 lead.
The Bruins had bases loaded with two outs in the fourth inning.
Sam Slaughter drove an RBI single through the left side.
Jack Rando and Landers drew back-to-back walks that brought two runs in.
Brodey Heaton knocked in Slaughter and Rando on a single through the right side. Belmont led 7-0 after the inning.
Belmont hung two more runs on the scoreboard in the fifth.
Pete Daniel doubled to start the inning. Following a throwing error on an attempted pickoff at second,
Landon Godsey drove Daniel in.
Jeff Clarke scored on a wild pitch a few at-bats later. Belmont extended their lead to 9-0.
Belmont had another huge inning in the sixth. The Bruins batted around in the inning and scored four runs.
Mason Landers led off the inning with his second home run of the game. Heaton walked the next at-bat.
Blake Barton doubled to left-center field and scored Heaton from first. Daniel doubled again and brought in Barton. Daniel scored on a ball four wild pitch to Slaughter. The Bruins strengthened their commanding lead to 13 runs.
Murray State emptied the bench in the bottom half, in hopes of generating some offense. The Racers scored four runs on five hits. After the sixth, Belmont led 13-4.
The Bruins scored on a passed ball in the seventh inning. Belmont led 14-4 and were three outs away from a run-rule win.
Following a leadoff walk, Murray State grounded into a double play. The game ended with Slaughter throwing a runner out trying to advance to second. Belmont won 14-4 and clinched the series.
