OLD HICKORY, Tenn. – The Belmont men's golf team is tied for second after day one of the TSU Big Blue Intercollegiate held Monday at Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tennessee.
Belmont carded rounds of 283 and 285 to finish the day tied with Samford and SIUE at 568. They are one shot back of the team leaders, Missouri State and Austin Peay, at 567.
Three Bruins are among the top-15 after 36 holes of play. Junior Michael Senn is alone in second place at 137. The Arkansas native posted rounds of 69 and 68 and is two shots back of the individual leader, Alex Eickhoff of SIUE (135).
Sophomore
Jack Schoenberger shot rounds of 70 and 71 to finish the day tied for 13
th place at 141. Freshman
Grey Goff, competing as an individual, is tied for 15
th place at 142. The Kentucky native carded rounds of 73 and 69.
Other Belmont scores from day one include: freshman
Jack Darke (T-29, 146), sophomore
Conner Brown (T-38, 149), and senior
Reeve Felner (T-45, 150).
Three other Bruins are competing as individuals: graduate student
Jack Bergstrom (T-33, 147), graduate student
Joe Bultman (T-38, 149), and graduate student
Alex Whitehead (T-76, 149).
The third and final round is set to start Tuesday morning at 8:00am CT.
