MARICOPA, Ariz. – The Belmont men's golf team stands in ninth place after round one of the Golfweek/National Golf Invitational held Friday at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Arizona.
The Bruins posted a first round score of 298 to finish the day in ninth place. TCU has the team lead at 279, with Richmond in second place at 282.
Two Belmont golfers are among the top-30 after 18 holes. Junior Michael Senn leads BU as he is tied for 25
th place after posting a 73. He is six shots back of the individual leaders, Jack Beauchamp of TCU and Preston Bebich of Washington State, who each shot 67.
Freshman
Jack Darke is in a tie for 28
th place after carding a first round 74.
Other Belmont scores from round one include: freshman
Grey Goff (T-31, 75), sophomore
Conner Brown (T-36, 76), and senior
Reeve Felner (T-45, 80).
The second round will begin Saturday morning at 7:00am MT. Belmont's golfers will tee off from the 10
