Women’s Soccer Earns Draw Against Chattanooga

Ava Labocki Scores Fourth Goal, Bruins Celebrate Five Seniors

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University women's soccer (3-5-1) hosted Chattanooga (1-4-3) Sunday evening at E.S. Rose Park. Belmont honored five seniors before the match: Carly Ross, Leah Firsdon, Allison Brockelman, Abbigail Legg and Summer Curtis. After a scoreless half, both the Bruins and Mocs scored and ended in a 1-1 draw.

Turning Point
  • Ava Labocki scored the first goal of the match in the 78th minute. Lillie Tabor served a ball into the box that Labocki redirected with her right cleat. The goal was Labocki's fourth in the last three matches.

 Chattanooga's Ella Attaway scored the equalizer four minutes later.

  • Ava Labocki scored her fourth goal of the season. Labocki is the first Belmont player to score a goal in three consecutive matches since Julie Garst from Sept. 8-15, 2019.
  • Lillie Tabor recorded her first career assist on Labocki's goal.

  • Kate Virtel's three shots tied her career high.
  • Summer Curtis made her first start for Belmont
