NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University women's soccer (4-5-1, 1-0 MVC) opened MVC play against Evansville (1-4-2, 0-1 MVC) on Thursday night at E.S. Rose Park.
Kennedy Wise scored the lone goal at the end of the first half to give Belmont their first win at home of the season.

- Kennedy Wise scored the game-winning goal in the 41st minute. Teagan Wise launched a free kick from five yards in front of the center line near the six-yard box. Wise spun around and placed her shot inside the right post.
