Belmont Set to Continue MVC Play on the Road in Evansville

Bruins Hit the Road to Face Purple Aces in Key MVC Matchup

Belmont (3-3-6)(1-1-2 MVC) at Evansville (5-4-2)(1-2-1 MVC)
October 11th | 5:00 p.m.
Evansville, Ind. | Arad McCutuchan Stadium

EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- Belmont women's soccer continues Missouri Valley Conference action this weekend as the Bruins hit the road in search of their second conference win of the season.

Belmont enters the match with a 3-3-6 overall record and 1-1-2 mark in MVC play, remaining one of the toughest defensive teams in the league. The Bruins have allowed just 12 goals through 12 matches for a 1.00 goals-against average, while recording six shutouts on the year.

Graduate goalkeeper Sydney Jones has been instrumental in the team's defensive consistency, collecting 63 saves this season while maintaining a save percentage over .830. Jones and the Bruins' back line have helped the team stay unbeaten at home (2-1-4) and competitive on the road.

Offensively, Belmont's attack has been balanced with 13 goals and 13 assists spread across multiple contributors. The Bruins average 1.08 goals per game, with six different players finding the back of the net over the last three matches. Belmont has shown strong early-game energy, outscoring opponents 7-4 in first halves this season.

Set-piece execution remains another bright spot, as the Bruins have earned 36 corner kicks compared to 43 for opponents, keeping pressure on opposing defenses.
