Women's Soccer Returns Home to Face Indiana State in Missouri Valley Matchup

Balanced attack and strong defensive play lead Belmont into key conference showdown

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Belmont women's soccer is set to return to E.S. Rose Park this weekend for a crucial Missouri Valley Conference matchup against Indiana State. The Bruins (3-4-6, 1-2-2 MVC) look to continue their steady form and capitalize on home-field advantage late in conference play.

Belmont enters the contest averaging 1.08 goals per game, showcasing a balanced offense with 14 goals from 10 different players this season. Senior midfielder Olivia Walker and junior striker Laken Whittington each have tallied two goals apiece to pace the Bruins' attack. On the defensive end, Megan Miller has provided stability and creativity, leading the team with three assists while logging nearly 1,000 minutes on the pitch.

In goal, graduate standout Sydney Jones has been a difference-maker, posting an .813 save percentage, five shutouts, and over 990 minutes of play. The back line, anchored by veterans Lillie Tabor and Eliza Paisley, continues to hold opponents to just 1.08 goals per game, matching Belmont's offensive output.

Indiana State enters the weekend looking to climb in the MVC standings, setting the stage for an evenly matched and competitive late-season contest.
