Popiol and Webster Advance in Doubles at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont University women's tennis team's Jessica Popiol and Savannah Webster will be playing the doubles round of 32 at the 2025 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Ohio Valley Regional Championships Saturday morning following their opening round victory Friday morning in Knoxville, Tennessee. The Bruin tandem took out Indiana's Mansi Vadyala and Elisabeth Dunac 8-6 in first-round action at the University of Tennessee.
 
On Saturday, sophomore Popiol and redshirt freshman Webster will face Kentucky's ninth-seeded duo of Reese Sager and Zoe Hammond in the round of 32. First serve is slated for 8 a.m. CT/9 a.m. ET.
 
Freshman Mia Jones and graduate Cielo Tapia-Cruz were also in Friday morning's doubles main draw but fell in their round of 64 match.
 
Webster will also play in the consolation bracket of the singles main draw Saturday, taking on Purdue's Sophya Devas at 12 p.m. CT/1 p.m. ET.
