NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Belmont women's soccer earned a hard-fought point in Missouri Valley Conference play on Sunday evening, battling Murray State to a 0-0 draw at E.S. Rose Park.
The Bruins (3-3-6, 1-1-2 MVC) extended their unbeaten streak to three straight matches while recording their sixth shutout of the season behind another strong defensive effort and a composed performance from graduate goalkeeper Sydney Jones. Jones tallied four saves in the clean sheet, marking her fifth of the 2025 campaign.
Belmont outshot the Racers 6-7 overall with three on target. Kennedy Wise led the offensive effort with three shots, including one on goal, while Ava Labocki and Teagan Downs each added attempts that tested Murray State's goalkeeper.
The match featured limited scoring opportunities but showcased Belmont's defensive depth and poise under pressure. The Bruins held Murray State scoreless despite the Racers earning four corner kicks in the second half.
Earlier in the week, sophomore forward Reagan Ross was named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week, following her standout performance in Belmont's 4-1 victory over Northern Iowa.
With the result, Belmont moves to 1-1-2 in conference play and will look to build on its strong defensive form as the second half of MVC competition begins.
