Baseball Downs Lipscomb in Battle of the Boulevard

Allen and Godsey Combine for Seven Hits, Nine RBIs and Two Home Runs

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Belmont baseball fans can let out a sigh of relief. The Bruins (1-7) traveled down Belmont Boulevard and faced Lipscomb (2-6) in the first of two Battle of the Boulevard games this season. Belmont's early offensive explosion and strong bullpen effort ended a seven-game losing skid to start the season. The Bruins defeated the Bisons 14-9 and celebrated a huge road victory.
