WATERLOO, Ill. – The Belmont women's golf team is tied for 10
th after the first round of the MVC Championship held Sunday at Annbriar Golf Club in Waterloo, Illinois.
The Bruins posted a 323 on Sunday to finish the day tied for 10
th place with Indiana State. Illinois State has the lead after day one at 290, with Evansville in second at 298.
Leading the way for Belmont is freshman
Sloane Biddle. The Old Hickory, Tennessee native carded a first round 78 to finish in a tie for 26
th. She is eight strokes back of the leader, Erika Holmberg of Drake (70).
Junior
Chloe Tarkany is tied for 39
th place after shooting a 81.
Three Bruins are tied for 44
th place, each shooting a 82: senior
Eva Graham, freshman
Harper Edwards, and freshman
Emilee Swagger.
The second round will begin Monday morning at 9:30am. The Bruins will tee off from the first hole from 10:20-11:00am. Live scoring can be found at BelmontBruins.com.
