WATERLOO, Ill. – The Belmont women's golf team moved up a spot to ninth place after two rounds of the MVC Championship held this week at Annbriar Golf Club in Waterloo, Illinois.
The Bruins posted their second lowest round of the season, a 294, to finish the day in ninth place at 617. Illinois State continues to have the team lead at 579, with Southern Illinois and Drake tied for second at 599.
Two Belmont golfers are among the top-30 after 36 holes. Freshman
Sloane Biddle carded an even par 72 on Monday to move up nine spots and a tie for 17
th place at 150. Her round featured five birdies and five bogeys. She is seven shots back of the individual leader, Jillian Coster of Bradley (143).
Junior
Chloe Tarkany shot a second round 73 to move up to a tie for 29
th place at 154.
Senior
Eva Graham is tied for 36
th place at 156 after carding a two-over 74 on Monday.
Freshman
Harper Edwards shot a 75 and is tied for 41
st at 157, while fellow freshman
Emilee Swagger is tied for 56
th place at 164.
The third and final round will begin Tuesday morning at 8:30am. The Bruins will tee off the 10
