Bruins Run Rule Beacons in Series Opener

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Belmont (18-26, 7-9 MVC) and Valparaiso (6-28, 3-13 MVC) kicked off their weekend series Friday evening at E.S. Rose Park. The Bruins showed up ready to go from the first pitch. Starting pitcher Joe Ruzicka went the distance and recorded his first career complete game shutout, as Belmont run ruled the Beacons, 10-8 in eight innings.
